Abundant
wildlife
Birds, animals and
to a lesser extent, wildflowers are a feature of the property. Brindabella
Station is bounded on three sides by national parks. Parrots, galahs,
cockatoos, kookaburras, eagles and wrens as well as such water birds as
herons, cranes, swans and various wild duck abound. Native animals mainly
marsupials such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums and even less
active ones such as echidna and platypus can be found within the valley.
Kangaroos are seen on the property in the late afternoons and early mornings.
Note: guests driving
themselves to Brindabella should exercise care on the Brindabella Road
particularly mornings and evenings as many Australian animals will be
on or near the road at these times.
